A Soulful Apulian Original Restored
Preserving the soulful stature of its origins, and enhanced by local stones and authentic artisanal craftsmanship, this four-bedroom cone-topped villa offers a next-level trulli home experience.
Living spaces form the heart of the home, featuring a large two-cone lounge and custom kitchen opening to the dining area. Intimate spaces include four double bedrooms with private en-suite bathrooms and independent entrances, one a smaller lamia space with a double shower, another lamia room under traditional, barrel-vaulted ceilings.
Outdoors, the landscape sculpted by designer Gianni Birardi includes a panoramic infinity pool (heated on request), two pergolas for alfresco dining and lounging poolside, softly lit pathways through the Mediterranean garden, an outdoor WC and separate shower, and private parking.
Additional Information: Minimum stay 7 nights, except for very low season periods such as March, April, October and November where a 5 night minimum applies. Events and photo shoots only by advance request and approval.
Around
Set in the fertile Valle d’Itria countryside, between Ostuni and Martina Franca in the rural area of Ceglie Messapica, the property makes a great base for exploring all Puglia has to offer. The whitewashed villages of Ostuni, Martina Franca, Cisternino, Locorotondo and the trulli-populated, UNESCO-classified village of Alberobello are all short drives away. Baroque Martina Franca is all elegance and swirl whereas the whitewashed hilltop villages like Ostuni offers mazes of flower-bedecked streets and pretty viewpoints.
A local shop with all basic goods is a quick three kilometers away, and Ceglie Messapica is renowned for its excellent cuisine, with Michelin-starred restaurants, simple cafes and shops. Lovely beaches are also within easy reach, on both the Ionian and Adriatic coasts, with long stretches of sand, picturesque small bays, and the several protected nature reserves, including Torre Guaceto. Check out the charmed fishing harbor town of Svelletri, and the extensive karst cave system of Grotte di Castellana, one of the region’s top attractions.
