Puglia's Trulli
Originally constructed as temporary agricultural dwellings, Trulli reside only in the specific region of the Itria Valley and the Murge area of Italy.
With a respectful intervention that bridges the contemporary and the historical, the charming cluster of conical domes remain intact and are one of three buildings arranged in the compound.
Adapting the original building's construction techniques and materials, the seamless renovations are simple and respectful of the historic style, with chic and playful flourishes like candy-colored tile and modern embellishments.
The main trullo consists of a living area with a sofa bed that can accommodate two, with a small kitchenette and a double room with a bathroom separated by curtains. The second building consists of a dining area, a kitchenette, a double room, and a bunk room with windows overlooking the pool area. The third building consists of a large living area with a double sofa bed and bathroom. Combined, the property can accommodate two families or a group.
Surrounded by an inspiring native landscape and extensive gardens, there are shady alfresco dining and lounge areas poolside to gather around in the evening.
Read a short history of the trullo in our Stories section here.
