Each of the original spaces are brought together by a common relaxation area (kitchen/dining/living rooms) and they share a historic, fortress-like outdoor relaxation zone featuring a hydromassage-equipped lap pool, an outdoor shower, and umbrellaed sunbeds and lounge chairs tucked behind privacy walls.

A traditional family estate, the residence’s refurbishment and restoration was completed under the direction of its owner, an industrial designer, and the combination trullo, lamia and studio feature raw, exposed stone, repolished and revived, and delightfully spare interiors that allow the new modern furnishings to shine. Featuring designer pieces from Cassina, Boffi, Moroso and Gandia Blasco, among others, the restored rooms remain minimal, yet polished. Serene and sunny, the complex showcases old stone underfoot offset by pristine white walls and filtered lighting that softens the bold structure.

The Trullo section of the property houses two double bedrooms with en suite baths, one outfitted with a hyromassage tub and chromotherapy, plus a living/dining space, and independent kitchen. The lamia’s two double bedrooms share a bath with a shower and bidet, plus a living room with a fireplace and an outdoor kitchen and dining area. The smaller suite is a love nest for two, with a generous double shower. The property offers an onsite solarium and bicycles are included.

Located in the Parco Tallinaio district near the enchanting village of Locorotondo, the estate is centered in the rural heart of Puglia—land of white cities (Ostuni, Martina Franca) and seaside villages (Polignano), and picturesque hilltop towns like Locorotondo and Cisternino. The seaside town of Savelletri offers the closest beaches, a hidden gem of a small beach community that’s a favorite of locals who come for its small inlets, charming lidos and uncrowded sands. Many of the nearby villages are postcard worthy towns of narrow streets and whitewashed houses surrounded by wild rural landscapes zigzagged by vineyards and dotted with olive groves. The Apulian Aqueduct Cycle Route is easily accessed from the property and offers a fascinating tour through centuries-old olive trees, iconic rural landscapes punctuated by conical trulli, and working farms and vineyards, many open for tastings. The UNESCO-classified White City of Ostuni clings to a nearby hilltop, and Puglia is regarded as a dream vacation destination for its wealth of labyrinthine villages, crystalline waters, sun drenched sands, and fragrant, herb and scrub-filled coastal landscapes. Freshly pressed olive oil, daily caught seafood and stellar, garden-to-table gastronomy are seemingly on offer in nearly every village, and the Adriatic coastline’s rocky coves and clear waters are also only minutes away. For more urban-styled adventures, take in the lively historic port towns of Polignano a Mare and Monopoli, or be dazzled by the region’s classic trulli, stunningly concentrated in and around the village of Alberobello, also a UNESCO classified location.
