Offering spectacular views over the secluded Caletta Bay and surrounded by pristine nature and acres of olive groves, the villa is perched just above the shore with a lovely secluded cove and beach all to yourself. It's the perfect base to discover this charming region of Liguria with its nature parks, stunning coastlines and romantic villages.
The turn of the century villa's classic features and authentic character has been preserved and enhanced with a stylish mix of traditional and antique furnishings and decor that complement the historic aspects of the property.
Connected by a balcony bridge, the villa consists of two separate wings and can accommodate up to eight guests. The common areas include a large living room divided by a double-sided fireplace, a dining room, and a kitchen with an original wood-burning oven all surrounded by a huge terrace overlooking the sea. On the floor above are four double bedrooms (one with en-suite bathroom and a private terrace) all with lovely sea views.
The expansive grounds wrap around the house with a mixture of lush gardens and terraces for alfresco dining. There is ample space for relaxation and play with a saltwater pool overlooking the views and additional dining space with a gazebo bar. (The pool is open from mid-May to mid-September.)
This is the perfect hideaway for family and group holidays and the ideal base for exploring the historic Ligurian coast.
THE ITALIAN RIVIERA
The secluded, romantic beach of Caletta can be reached by a path directly from the property and is a good snorkeling location. It’s recommended to take the inflatable mattress and explore Caletta bay and the other two small beaches.
The charming Ligurian town of Lerici is within a five-minute walk from the villa and offers excellent trattorias and cafes, an atmospheric old harbor, and a beautiful promenade along the sea. Ferries departing from Lerici will take you to Cinque Terre, Portovenere and Palmaria Island, while the nearby port and naval town of La Spezia is a 15-minute drive.
“The Five Lands” of Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore on the Ligurian coast and the stunning UNESCO heritage site of Cinque Terre are under an hour north. This is a rugged stretch of the Italian Riviera and is part of the expansive national park. World-renowned Cinque Terre's colorful terraced homes are perched along the cliffs overlooking the sea and is one of the most visited spots in Italy. Connected only by paths, boats, and trains the most amazing parts of the village are thankfully free of cars. The nearby town of Monterosso is divided by a tunnel into two distinct parts: the old town and the new town and is ideal for walking and features the only extensive sandy beach in Cinque Terre. The daily boat service by Navigazione Golfo dei Poeti during summer is the best way to go from village to village and admire the stunning coastline from the sea.
