A Modern Forest-Edge Villa near the Surf Beaches of Seignosse and Hossegor

Owned by a French music producer, Villa d'Yreye is a contemporary five-bedroom house in the Yreye neighborhood of Seignosse, on the Landes coast of southwest France. Accommodating up to 10 guests, it sits in a peaceful residential pocket close enough to cycle to the beach, yet set back where the wind through the pines replaces coastal traffic.

The renovation opens the interior to its green surroundings. A living, dining, and kitchen area serves as the anchor for the home, and full-height glass doors slide back to connect the bright, low-key interior with the terrace (and kitchen) outside, so the interior and terrace become one continuous space for groups to cook, eat, and gather. Three bedrooms branch off this central room, each a simple retreat after a day in the sun. There are two additional bedrooms on the upper level. One of the bedrooms has its own en-suite shower, while the other four bedrooms share two family bathrooms.

You'll spend most of the day outside: a lap swim, lunch cooked slowly from the outdoor kitchen, dinner under the canopy as it cools off. A 14-meter lap pool traces the tree line along the edge of the lawn, flanked by a sun terrace and a pool house for midday shade. A private garage provides dedicated storage for surfboards and bikes, making it simple to load up for the short ride to the ocean.

This vacation home for rent in Seignosse sleeps up to 10 guests in a 160-square-meter floor plan. Three bedrooms open directly off the central living area (65 square meters), with the pool, terrace, and garden situated beyond. Two additional bedrooms are located on the upper level.

Good to know

Children and infants are welcome; pets and smoking are not permitted. Quiet hours apply from 11:00 PM to 8:30 AM, and parties are prohibited. Available for photo shoots by prior arrangement. A local tourist tax (taxe de séjour) is collected on arrival. Includes a private garage and parking on site.

Seignosse and neighboring Hossegor sit along the Côte d'Argent, a region defined by pine forests, a salt lake, and renowned Atlantic sandbars. The ocean is the main pull here, with Les Estagnots, Les Bourdaines, and Le Penon providing consistent surf nearby, and La Gravière just south in Hossegor. Hossegor's marine lake hosts water sports and lakeside dining at local oyster huts. Golf de Seignosse, an 18-hole course set among the pines, is minutes away. In nearby Capbreton, local boats sell the morning's catch directly at the harbor fish market, while miles of paved forest paths connect the town to the coast.
