Designed by its patriarch to be one family’s vast holiday residence, this Mykonos estate has been meticulously updated by Fermanoglou Architects. The generous private estate for up to 18 is a fully staffed smart home composed of a five-bedroom/bath and balconied main home, a trio of guest houses with kitchenettes and private patios, staff accommodations, and a wine cellar. It also has a private chapel that can seat 20, ideal for small weddings or ceremonies (with room for up to 150 outdoors). Its indoor kitchen features modern professional appliances in addition to traditional Cycladic clay hulls, and the indoor dining room seats 12.

Sea views fill the horizon out of every window, and the estate's beach-like pool curves for 137sqm along the main house’s seafront façade. A ping pong table and outdoor lounge area are adjacent and the estate's Vostalo Sunset Lounge is also a part of the poolscape, featuring two dining tables with seating for 20. An outdoor barbecue zone is equipped with a wood stove, a traditional stone oven, gas stove, bar and dining area for 13, with direct access to the indoor kitchen and wine cellar.

The estate’s garden is a real showpiece, 5,600 square meters of nature etched into a rugged hillside that’s home to an olive grove of 100-year-old trees, a vineyard, majestic Egyptian palm trees, shaggy eucalyptus, and a bostani, where guests can pick their own organic vegetables.

Located about an eight-minute drive from Mykonos Town’s Chora, and less than three miles to the closest beach, the estate covers Kounoupas Hill and is set conveniently behind Mykonos Airport. Easily accessible to Mykonos’s famed beaches, among them Psarou Beach at Nammos (3.7 miles), Super Paradise (2.3 miles), and Paraga Beach at Scorpios (3.4 miles), the property is closest to Agrari Beach (under 2 miles).

Mykonos is known, of course, for its glittering nightlife, boutique shopping and fine dining. Athletic offerings range from golf, tennis and fishing to hiking, cycling and horseback riding, with water sports opportunities—scuba diving, sailing, kayaking—also abundant and guiding services plentiful on the island. Mykonos Town, called Chora by locals, curves around a bright blue bay, its sugar-cube homes offset by wooden doors and terraces painted in bright color blocs. Mykonos’ houses are stacked up the hillside from the waterfront, crisscrossed by a maze of small stone streets kept mostly car-free in the town center. Mykonos’s bustling Little Venice quarter is known for its waterways and plump windmills, built in the 1500s and used until the early 1900s to grind wheat and barley into flour, a primary commercial activity for the region. Once numbering nearly two dozen mills, 16 still stand.

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy Mykonos’ lesser-celebrated charms such as birdwatching, sailing, horseback riding and cycling inland. History buffs shouldn’t miss the UNESCO World Heritage site of Delos Island, birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, Zeus’ twins, located about 30 minutes by boat from the island.
