The historic property consists of a centuries-old farmhouse and gatehouse/studio constructed of stone. The interiors have graceful arches, rustic stone tiles, and timbers and beautifully preserved original features, with fine handcrafted materials and finishes.

The open-plan ground floor houses the fireside living space with a dining area for up to twelve and a chef's kitchen. 

Ideal for large groups, there is a selection of five accommodations including four double bedrooms in the main house and one in the studio with room for up to fourteen guests. Each is unique with an eclectic mix of modern and antique characteristics and indulgent comforts.  

Surrounded by nature and several hidden spots and well as a pool, the gardens and terraces are great for lounging with lovely views of the countryside.   

THE PICTURESQUE HILLTOP TOWNS AND VALLEYS OF TUSCANY

Endlessly picturesque, the Perugia area of Umbria remains one of the most idealized settings in Italy and the villa is within reach of several areas not to be missed. 

The medieval village of Castel Rigone sits atop Monterone in the central Apennines overlooking breathtaking views of Lake Trasimeno. Ancient by any standards, it was founded in the 6th century and became a fortified bulwark for neighboring Perugia. The stunning hilltop capital city of Perugia with it's beautiful historic center is a thirty-minute drive and is also a contemporary university town with great nightlife and youthful energy. 

The Etruscan era town Umbertide is northeast at the confluence of the Reggia and Tiber and the Neighboring UNESCO site of Val d'Orcia with the remarkable hilltop village of Montepulciano and nearby Pienza are an hour west. The Etruscan city of Arezzo lies an hour north.

One of the oldest hilltop towns in the region, Cortona is within a half-hour and offers the iconic views and classic Romanesque beauty of Tuscany.  Ideally situated, you are within two hours from Florence, the Chianti area and the wine capitals of Montepulciano and Montalcino, Siena and Assisi. It doesn't get much better than this.
