Rooted in the Cycladic Wild
The Petres ensemble was born from a desire to create a communal family retreat where three distinct villas coexist across varying elevations. Villa Riza occupies the base, harmonizing with the valley’s stream and citrus groves. Architects utilized rainwater collection and solar heating, ensuring the structure remains a gentle steward of the Aprovato landscape.
An open-plan living room centers around a grand window that frames the Aegean like a canvas. The master suite is bathed in golden hues at sunset, while a second bedroom features a wall-to-wall mattress for a grounded, cozy aesthetic. Refined marble sinks and traditional Cycladic showers provide a cool, sensory contrast to the sun-baked stone exterior.
A 180-square-meter terrace serves as an expansive outdoor living room, featuring a protected stone barbecue and a massive 10-person stone dining table for communal breakfasts. The 6m x 3m saltwater infinity pool overlooks the valley’s descent toward the sea. The secret garden is a lush tapestry of fig, citrus, and ancient olive trees, punctuated by cacti.
What we love
We love the location on this island in a green valley of olive and platanus trees, blended in with stone walls and endless views of the Aegean. Our favorite spot is the hammock to swing in and enjoy the unobstructed sea and sunset views. Perfect for star gazing at night.
