This soaring reconstruction of a 19th-century townhouse lifts and elevates the room into an airy, vaulted space with an expansive lofty perspective. The steel industrial beams pull the eye up, creating an edgy and modern architectural perspective.  

Starting at the ground floor, the layout makes great sense of the space, transforming it into a bi-level home that incorporates an open-plan platform living area as well as an anchored street level access. It doesn't take a lot to make a red couch pop in a space like this, but we loved the use of  the focal point of color that pulls you in and leads you up and throughout the apartment. The  bolt of red color from the suspended seating area accentuates the loft like structure and packs a punch with it's abstract emphasis.

Housed in a traditional 19th-century townhouse that surrounds a courtyard, the two stories of windows allow the light to change and bounce throughout the staggered layout. Earthy wood floors create a warm foundation while the towering and spare wall space remains empty but for strings of steel that cascade down and invite you up to a warm nest with a great view that sleeps up to two.
