A Unique Hotel in the Heart of the Swiss Alps

A brilliant eco-friendly concept and a great design statement, this hotel is an unconventional mix of rustic simplicity with futuristic design and majestic mountain views. There are 18 pods including four suites, and 18 cabins to choose from. Centered around a central chalet, the pods appear both natural and out of this world. Nestled above breathtaking mountain vistas at an altitude of 1,400 meters, they coexist in the rugged natural environment by clever structural camouflage. Bold yet subtle, each unit offers self-contained individualized living and understated luxury.

The geometric, open-plan architecture of the pods means the interiors are bright spaces, configured to accommodate up to three guests, or a family of four. Each features floor-to-ceiling windows with magnificent views, fireplace, panoramic deck, luxurious super-king bed, double mezzanine level bed, and full shower room. Individually furnished with a great selection of local handpicked and often handmade items, there's a singular personality to each. They also adapt visually to the seasons, shimmering brightly and all but disappearing into the snowy landscape in winter.

The 18 cabins (designed by Montalba Architects) each have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge, kitchen, and dining room, as well as a beautiful sunny terrace with views across the Swiss Alps. 

All pods and cabins have electricity, are heated, and have a fully-fitted bathroom. The pods are located 15 minutes from the main reception, and the cabins are a five-minute walk. The lodge is the hub of the property and is the gathering spot for breakfast and bar, as well as a lounge and games room. Fifteen minutes down the hill is the superb restaurant Les Cerniers that services the property and town below. 

Smartly designed, environmentally conscious, and decidedly stylish, this unique hotel is a welcome vacation alternative. 

AROUND

You'll be able to see the twinkling lights of Monthey in the distance, but that's as close as you'll get to anything but wild nature here. Designed to remove you from modern life, the camp is a remote back-to-nature experience. With private ski slopes and protected parkland surrounding the camp, there are plenty of outdoor activities to participate in. Take a dog sledding tour, hike with huskies, indulge in some hug therapy, take a hike. Other activities include slow forest, alpine odyssey, compass mission, raclette, forest escape game, paragliding with a certified pilot, ski touring, snowshoe hiking, wine tour, and a guided mountain hiking tour. Perched above the Rhone Valley, these cabins are within driving distance of Lake Geneva, Villars and Leysin.
