A Unique Hospitality and Lifestyle Concept

Set within a jumble of historic townhouses in the small town of Gratteri, this holiday home in Sicily takes you back to the simplicity of village life, preserving the charm and atmosphere of an authentic rural town.

The historic manor house has been restored into a unique concept of hospitality and lifestyle, designed to explore and rediscover the roots of Sicilian culture.

Tucked among other homes at the foot of the Madonie mountains, it offers the chance to immerse yourself in the peaceful rhythm of village life or venture into the nearby natural park, rich in unspoiled landscapes.

The historic structure, with its ancient stone walls, wooden roofs, and floors, has been kept simple and welcoming, enhanced by touches of colorful Sicilian tiles and evocative combinations of antique furniture and 20th-century vintage pieces that keep tradition alive.

The house features three bedrooms, each inspired by folk legends about the monks of the Premonstratensian order who once lived in the nearby Abbey of San Giorgio, and can accommodate up to 10 guests. The common areas include a dining room and a kitchen.

With a philosophy centered on contemporary hospitality, well-being, and local culture, this home radiates the natural warmth, charm, and hospitality typical of the island.

Additional amenities

Free Wi-Fi throughout, heating system, and hotel-style services such as a private chef, housekeeper, and driver available on request and at an additional cost.

Around

Gratteri is a picturesque and authentic Sicilian village, located between the Madonie mountains and the Tyrrhenian coast.

A rural area where time seems to pass slowly, yet strategically positioned to reach sites of great interest such as the Abbey of San Giorgio, the Grattara Cave, and the Madonie Natural Park.

Just 30 minutes away lies the renowned seaside town of Cefalù, on the island’s northern coast, home to two of the most beautiful beaches in the area, Mazzaforno and Settefrati, and about an hour from Palermo.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Cefalù is an ancient fishing port with medieval streets dominated by a 12th-century Norman cathedral and an ancient hilltop fortress.

It is known for its excellent seafood restaurants, local wines, and artisan shops that enliven the historic center.

Less than an hour east is Santo Stefano di Camastra, famous for its ceramics and tiles, while the Madonie mountains offer hiking trails and forests dotted with some of the region’s most beautiful medieval villages — Isnello, Castelbuono, Collesano, and Gangi — full of art, culture, and fine cuisine.

For day trips, you can walk to the Grattara Cave and the Norman-era Abbey of San Giorgio, or explore the various beaches along the Cefalù coastline, only 15 km away. Palermo, with its monuments and historic treasures, is just 60 km away.

Sicily holds countless natural and cultural treasures — from Noto to Catania, and the Baroque towns of Ragusa, Modica, and Scicli — an island meant to be explored and savored.
