This traditional 19th-century building has been reimagined and lightly updated with a back-to-basics approach and transformed into a chic B&B in a great central location in Tomar. Architect José Carlos Cruz set out to rehabilitate these once overlooked apartments and bring them into the 21st century with a light and modern restoration.
The straightforward renovation honors the original structural features while expanding the space and modernizing its personality. Easy laid-back style and comforts combined with vintage contemporary furnishings, decor and finishes are mixed with the warm wood floors and a selection of original pieces from the owners' personal art collection.
A total of three apartments are spread throughout the building, and each is completely self contained with kitchenette and full baths. You can choose from a one bedroom that sleeps two, a two bedroom that sleeps four, or three bedroom that sleeps up to six.
Each is spacious and bright, and two come with dining terraces that overlook the best neighborhood in Tomar. Stylish with lots of cool charm, this is the ideal mid-city hideaway.
