In Vermont, a Cabin that Transports You to Simpler Times
Just before you turn onto the gravel road, you’ll be greeted by the cows and seasonal vegetable stands across the street. Then you’ll pull up to 3.8 acres of peaceful privacy, and happen upon the slanted cornflower blue form of Kingdom A-Frame, flanked by two Adirondack chairs. Located just minutes away from a vast network of trails, this 1968-built treasure is embedded in the woods; remote enough to get the quintessential Vermont experience, while also in close proximity to the Northeast Kingdom’s plethora of activities.

The interiors are straight out of a Pendleton catalog, with a neutral color palette and soft surfaces. The relaxing living area makes a wonderful place for conversation, playing board games and sipping hot toddies by the wood stove; a spiral staircase leads up to a cozy wood-clad master bedroom loft with a half bathroom. Decamp to the game room and play some shuffleboard or old-school Nintendo (this room is also the third bedroom, with four twin beds or two kings).
This A-frame cabin in Vermont has a fully-equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. Outdoors, you may read, do yoga or simply relax on the large deck and patio. Gather around the fire pit to admire the expanse of nature that twists up into the mountains; plot your own journey.
Perfect for couples, pairs of couples, or small families, Kingdom A-Frame is a wonderful starting point for a biking or hiking adventure, or a getaway that trades screens for simpler pleasures.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES
Coffee bar with four different ways to make coffee, memory foam mattresses and duvets, complimentary organic shampoo, conditioner, and soap, a selection of favorite board and backyard games, record player with Bluetooth (owners supply some of their favorite vintage and current records), complimentary kiln, dried wood and fire-starter sticks, outdoor propane grill, vintage Preway fireplace in the front yard (please bring your own firewood if you’d like to use this one, as the wood supplied is for indoor use only), large fenced-in yard for both small and large pups, washer/dryer in a locked room (available to guests staying over a week).
PLEASE NOTE: Cell service, while generally decent, can be spotty at times. The Dish for Wifi isn't high speed, and can be slow. If you absolutely need high-speed internet, there is a coffee shop 10 minutes away with high-speed Wifi. The owners have routine plowing during snowstorms, but they highly recommend a 4x4 or AWD vehicle if you plan to stay during the winter months. We recommend picking up groceries before reaching the a-frame.A LEGENDARY TRAIL SYSTEM
“Make your way into the heart of East Burke and you’ll quickly become accustomed to seeing mountain bikes everywhere: leaning up against buildings and picnic tables, attached to cars, and zipping around on the trails,” New England Today once wrote about the village that is seven minutes from Kingdom A-Frame. This part of the country, in fact, is famous to cyclists, on account of its Kingdom Trails, a trail network of more than 100 miles.
Kingdom A-Frame is also across the street from the VAST trail, a prized network of snowmobiling trails. And it’s 10 minutes away from Lake Willoughby (named the 3rd best lake in New England) where you can hike year-round, fish, kayak, and swim within the clear blue water surrounded by forest. Burke Mountain (12 minutes away) has a mid-sized resort that is open seasonally for skiing and snowboarding.
If you’re arriving to the cabin via 93N, the owners recommend stopping for groceries at the Littleton Food Co-op in Littleton, NH. There is also a gas station in East Burke stocked with fresh local produce, local meats and cheeses, a stellar beer selection, and all of the essentials.
