Work, Rest and Play Overlooking the National Parks
Set 8,900 feet above Dixie National Forest in Southern Utah, this chalet was the passion project of a developer looking for an off-the-grid escape during the early days of the pandemic. Over the summer and fall of 2020, the original structure was completely modernized into a rustic cabin with all the luxuries of a 21st-century smart home – and incredible views.
The backdrop to this cabin rental in Utah is red rock formations looking out over Bryce and Zion National Parks, plus Strawberry Point and Cedar Breaks. There are 6,000 square feet of decking surrounding the property, offering a safe catwalk along the cliff's edge.
And if that isn't enticing enough, there's a hot tub, putting green, meditation area, yoga platform, and games room (with state-of-the-art AV systems, plus a pinball machine that apparently once belonged to Harrison Ford).
Zennest sleeps up to 10 guests and is located close to slopes and trails, making it a great destination for family vacations, friend getaways, weddings, corporate retreats, and even workations.
This cabin rental in Utah sleeps up to 10 guests in five bedrooms, with gorgeous scenery from every window. There are three full bathrooms and one half-bathroom.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
A car is recommended. A 4×4 or AWD vehicle would be best as there is a section of dirt/gravel road to get up to Zennest. The owners provide transport to the cabin from the main road in winter. There are two snowmobiles and a CanAM off-road vehicle on site, which are available as an add-on cost.
AROUND
The cabin is a great year-round destination, located close to the ski slopes, making it ideal for skiing and snowboarding, as well as cross-country skiing and snow shoeing. There is also easy access to breathtaking trails for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and mountaineering.
The area is known as a gateway to the national parks so guests will never be short of ideas for day trips. Within two hours of Duck Creek Village are, to the north, Capitol Reef and Bryce National Park plus, to the south, Zion and Grand Canyon National Park. To the west are Cedar Breaks National Monument and the red-rock country of Snow Canyon in St. George.
The cabin is 29 miles from Cedar City, where cultural destinations include the Shakespearean Festival Theatre, the Renaissance Faire, and the Utah Summer Games.
