In fact, the penthouse apartment is located above their highly popular restaurant, L'Osteria, which is said to make the best pizza on the island. And the good news is this architectural space is fully serviced by the eatery below it, combining the passions of both of its owners.

The space itself is appealingly simple, with no fuss or clutter. The skeleton of the building is visible in the interior, creating strong lines and geometrical patterns that blend perfectly with the contemporary wooden furnishings, handmade using raw local hardwood.

We love the rich hardwood floor, which lends the space great warmth, and the visible thatched nipa roof and rafia panels in the cabinetry, which give the apartment a truly Filipino flavor.

The space is flooded with natural light through large windows, which also offer great views of the Pacific Ocean and the property's private beachfront. Decor is minimal, save for original abstract paintings, antique lamps and a Moroccan carpet from the owners' collection.

With its two bedrooms, this is a great space for a small family or two couples sharing.

The property is located on Tuason Beach, a laid-back spot in General Luna, Siargao Island, which is the surfing capital of the Philippines. In fact, it's just minutes from Cloud 9, arguably the country's most famous wave. The location is ideal for beginners off-season (March-August), and for advanced surfers September to February.

International flights can connect from Cebu (CEB) and Manila (MLA). The owners welcome guests at the airport and send them back to the airport via private transfers inclusive in the price of booking.
