Connected on over seven staggered levels, the spaces are arranged around the central living space that forms the heart of the house. Bright and open, the interiors are a duo of white and wood with a clean and simple lack of ornamentation. The fully equipped kitchen and dining area are a step up from the fireside living space and open out to a viewing balcony.

The first of two en suite double bedrooms is adjacent and there is a gallery-style loft space above that can double as an office/workspace. One level below is the second en suite bedroom with a garden room that opens out to a terrace on the ground level.

Simple but stylish contemporary furnishings, red color-washed floors, and a spare hand with decor make for a soothing uncomplicated environment with all of the convenience and comforts of home at hand.

RHINELAND

The tiny village of Schultz is located in some of the most picturesque regions of Rhineland but is sparsely populated and without much in the way of shopping or restaurants but the nearby towns of Manderscheid, Deudesfeld, Pützborn and Daun all have markets, shops, restaurants and amenities and are under 10km from the house.

Don't miss the wild rock formations and the nearby Roman settlement before venturing out for some of the area's best hiking and biking, especially the cycling paths from Daun to Meerfeld, Schutz to Deudesfeld, Schutz to Bleckhausen, Manderscheid to Großlittgen and Großlittgen to Monastery Himmeroth.

Surrounded by the landmark volcanoes, marshes, and the deep valleys of Lieser and Kyll, the area is one of West Germany's most varied natural landscapes. You are just over an hour from Cologne, ninety minutes from Dusseldorf and an hour west of the ancient city of Koblenz.
