Located along the windswept Atlantic shore of Iceland on a large private property next to a lovely beach, this charming early 20th-century farmhouse sits alone within the vast and dramatic landscape of the Reykjanes peninsula. Located near the village of Vogar on the north coast with outstanding views of Reykjavik in the distance, you're midway between the capital region and the famed Blue Lagoon.
A cozy house with lots of classic country character, the traditional farmhouse silhouette is entirely at home in its surroundings. The apartment occupies the semi-basement ground floor, with a private entrance and cozy, light-filled spaces that have been updated with modern comforts and simple, understated decor and furnishings. The large, eat-in kitchen is perfect for self catering, and the master bedroom sleeps two with additional space for up to two children in the living room.

AROUND
Situated along the shore just 30 minutes outside of Reykjavik, you are fifteen minutes from the famous Blue Lagoon. The urban center of Reykjavik inhabits over a thousand year old Nordic culture and is the first settlement on the island but remains more firmly rooted in the 20th century.
Venturing out beyond the capital is where you'll find the most spectacular features of the island including the “Golden Circle” route, where Eurasia meets North America and features amazing natural beauty.
The Þingvellir National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the lakes of Thingvallavatn (the largest lake in Iceland) and Pingvallavatn are within a short drive as are Hengill volcanic area, the river Öxará, Gullfoss waterfall, the hot springs area of Geysir, and the Kerid crater, all offering both winter and summer attractions.
