An adorable trulli trio that’s been updated in an easygoing boho style, Trullo Boemia was created for laid-back vacations in one of Italy’s most iconic regions. This rustic charmer retains its natural stone facade, and additional rectilinear stone spaces stretch out from the charming conical structures.
Trulli are rural in origin, and this sweet space occupies an agricultural field dotted with olive, fig and cherry trees. The simple home offers a shaded, raw wood shaded with flagstone underfoot, a dining table, and sling chairs to take in the timeless surroundings.
Situated on a rocky rural lot, and sharing space with olive, fig, and cherry trees, this former agricultural storehouse has been delightedly updated in a laid-back, vacation home style, where simplicity is the rule, dressed up by cool artisanal touches. Rustic stone walls surround the trullo’s lot, some crumbling charmingly.
This vacation home for rent in Italy is made up of three, traditional stone structures with their neatly stacked stone roofs soaring pointily skyward. The updated interiors feature tile floors, exposed stone ceilings and arching niches, and a relaxed décor palette that favors natural elements like rattan, cane, and linen. One bedroom is a double, with a sitting room incorporated into it. The other offers two twin beds, and the rooms share a bathroom with a sink built into the stone wall and a walk-in shower. The bedroom’s décor is homey, yet cool, with a touch of easygoing glam from dark paint colors, jewel-toned bed linens and throw pillows, and boho chic, basket-weave pendant lamps and linen wall hangings.
The home’s kitchen fills a steep trullo cone with ebony-toned rafters soaring overhead. Cooking and clean-up appliances are built into a natural interior archway, and a table with seating for six occupies the center of the cone. Throughout the common areas, antique furnishings combine with cool newer additions in cane and wicker, and the décor is breezy, light, and minimal.

AROUND
Located only two kilometers from the UNESCO village Alberobello, famed for its trulli community of over 1,000 structures, this vacation home for rent in Italy is set in a rural landscape, surrounding by tree-filled fields. It makes a great little base for exploring the surrounding region that includes the hilltop village of Locorotondo, surrounded by its namesake white wine vineyards; Ostuni, the magical “white village,” with its bleached storefronts and whitewashed homes; Grotaglie, home of ceramic artists, and the ancient troglodyte village of Matera, a UNESCO site, too.
Further afield, the charming coastal villages of Polignano a mare and Monopoli overlook the sea. Restaurants, cafes, bars, tasting rooms, markets, shops, artisanal boutiques and galleries are abundant in Puglia, and Ostuni boasts a Michelin-starred restaurant as of 2021. Half a dozen beaches with turquoise Adriatic waters are a quick drive away, with Porto Ghiacciolo and Cala Verde among the owners’ favorites.
