Located above the cobblestone streets at the seaside end of Valletta’s main thoroughfare, this newly restored apartment has been completely reinterpreted in tone, space and materials from its 18th-century roots. Renovated by the owner and architect whose practice resides across the harbor, it is one of a collection of distinctively designed properties developed and curated by the owner and his partner and highlight their love and commitment to art and modern design.
Formerly a busy architects’ atelier, this sunny studio is located on the second floor with beautiful sea views from the south facing balcony and a combination of simple sophistication and retro modern style. The interior furnishings are a mix of lightweight steel and timber objects and designer pieces with a spare minimalism that nevertheless pops with personality and character. The studio shares a communal kitchen and dining area two floors up and a lovely rooftop terrace with commanding views across the city and out to sea.
