Falling in love with an idea and a place is a funny thing, and can take you on a journey of unexpected discovery - and hard work. Spending every weekend and holiday living in a caravan on the land until the project was move-in ready, this cabin rental in Norway was meticulously crafted in classic Norwegian style by a family whose mission was to share their love of this place and its breathtaking landscapes.

Just a few miles above the resort town of Voss, overlooking panoramic views of the valley and mountains beyond, this cabin rental in Norway invites adventure.

Built by a family from nearby Bergen, the home is a showcase of modern Norwegian design and craftsmanship.

Elegant and understated, the home also has its place among the traditional rustic mountain lodges native to the fjord lands. Constructed of local timber, concrete, and large expanses of glass, the materials form a cool, monochromatic foundation for the authentic Scandinavian design, accentuated with natural materials and handcrafted pieces in leather, wool and linen.

The spacious living and dining area features floor to ceiling windows and lofty ceilings, a large fireplace and comfy daybeds, perfect for relaxing while you enjoy the spectacular views.

There’s a fully equipped modern kitchen ideal for entertaining and a separate media lounge along with three double bedrooms and a large loft with a combined sleeping and lounge area.

Outside, the large deck offers guests the ideal vantage point to soak in the beauty of the surroundings while catching some rays or enjoying an evening under the stars.

NORWAY'S EPIC BEAUTY AND OUTDOOR ADVENTURE

Located between the famous fjords of Sognefjord and Hardangerfjord, Voss is a popular resort destination for extreme sports enthusiasts, situated within twenty minutes of adrenaline-pumping outdoor adventure, including ski in/ski out access to over twenty slopes in addition to some great off-piste areas, two terrain parks, and eighteen kilometers of groomed cross-country trails.

From the tranquil mountainside, the town is just minutes away where you'll find a number of cafes, restaurants and shops as well as a new gondola that will run from the railway station to Hangurstoppen (820 metres above sea level) and is estimated to be completed by summer 2019.

The town is also host to several concerts, events and festivals including Ekstremsportsveko, the largest sports and music festival of its kind in June, and the Vossajazz fest during Easter.

The Western region of Norway places you within an hour of Bergen as well as a number of natural and cultural heritage attractions including the majestic Vikafjell, Flåm, the Sognefjord and Hardangerfjord, and the Njadarheim Viking Valley in Gudvangen.
