The Beauty of Wood Inspired By Portugal's Windswept Coast
Located an hour away from the capital, Lisbon, this cluster of three homes is tucked into the forest, close to the hip seaside town of Comporta. With three buildings composed of wood and glass among the sandy coastal forests, it's perfect for all types of groups looking for a quiet escape. There are three separate homes, a spacious chalet that sleeps four, a cozy cabin for two, and a loft for four. They can be rented separately or together.
This estate is located near the laid-back beach town of Comporta, south of Lisbon. Inspired by Portugal's rugged natural beauty and windswept coastal forests, its primary element is wood, and it boasts a pared down aesthetic that celebrates minimalism and simple living in nature.
There are three units that can be rented together or separately. The Wooden Chalet is the largest, with two bedrooms under its gabled roof. Its windows run the entire length of the house and looking out over a large fire pit. It's sparingly furnished, with living spaces both inside and out, all of which add to the wonderful beach vibe.
The second, the Wooden Cabin, is the ultimate in minimalism. A simple structure built on a terrace, it has a queen-sized bed tucked into a cozy bedroom, a cool little outside living space, and a bathroom. Its design draws inspiration from the nature surrounding it.
There is an additional Loft on the estate, an open-plan space with panoramic windows that sleeps four guests in two bedrooms.
Fruit and vegetables are grown on site, and fresh eggs are available thanks to the resident chickens.

It is one hour from Lisbon, 90 minutes away from the Algarve, and within easy reach of the Tróia Peninsula (a 17km long beach). The Natural Reserve of the Sado Estuary is close by - one of the most beautiful beaches in the country and a great location for watching dolphins and storks.
