Famous for its markets on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the town sits along the banks of the Mèder river almost equidistant from Girona and Barcelona. 

Its long history reveals a mix of Romanesque, Baroque and Gothic with vestiges of the city’s ancient past and a vibrant modern culture settled into the Catalan countryside.
