Urban Palace
An ancient palazzo in the heart of one of Naples’ most vibrant neighborhoods, this luxury B&B is home to three different rooms fascinatingly furnished by an architect and interior designer. All three live up to the property’s intentionally chosen name, which means “idyllic comfort and simple pleasures.”
Lovingly rebuilt by architect and interior designer Francesco Della Femina and partner Barbie Ryan, this 17th-century palace offers simple luxuries like thoughtful, one-of-a-kind furnishings, art-splashed walls, and gleaming chandeliers. Artfully transformed into an exclusive and intimate bed and breakfast, it occupies an idyllic urban location in the heart of one of Naples’ liveliest historic neighborhoods, one mostly lived in by locals.
Each of the three stylish bedroom suites that make up this small luxury hotel in Naples offers the charm and refinement of its historic location, with modern indulgences such as gem-toned walls, bold artworks, custom-made furnishings, and spacious walk-in showers. Each room is unique, with its own nameplate, décor theme, and mood, and there’s even an option to combine two rooms for a two-bedroom suite. All rooms come with breakfast included at a neighboring café, and all offer in-room mini fridges, eco spa grade toiletries, and luxury linens.
AROUND
Neapolitan life is bustling, and Naples offers tourist visits of castles and palaces and architectural and archeological sites all within walking distance of this small luxury hotel in Naples. It is only steps away from the Via San Gregorio Armeno, home to a lively open market and maze of cobbled streets and adjacent alleyways lined with artisan shops and makers’ studios.
Naples’ famed National Archeological Museum is also a quick distance on foot, as are galleries and art museums and boutiques. Cafes, bars and restaurants are lively and numerous throughout the city’s historic center, with crowds spilling onto sidewalk tables and busy piazzas. Nearby daytrips include island hopping to Capri, Ischia, and Procida or heading to the ruins at Pompeii or an adventure up Mount Vesuvius.
