This villa is spacious and luxurious but still manages to have all the charm of a bright and breezy beach cabana. Located in a popular boutique resort on the Atlantic coast of Brazil, it's surrounded in rainforest, flora and fauna - and is within three minutes walk from the region's fabulous beaches.

This elegant four-bedroom poolside villa is located within a luxury resort in Itacaré. Built on an ancient coconut and cacao farm, Itacaré is an environmental protection area made up of lush rainforest and a breathtaking coastline. While care for the environment is important, guests also have access to all the conveniences of the resort, including a spa, tennis courts, gym, restaurants and pool.

We love the spaciousness and bright, airy feel of this property - with its expansive living spaces, both interior and exterior. Each room is painted brightly and floodlit with natural light. Although there is enough space for 10 to inhabit very comfortably (and more lounging space than they could ever fully occupy), the villa has the feel of a sophisticated beach hut.  

The kitchen, with its bright green wall and vaulted ceiling, is reminiscent of a walk-up beach bar, bathrooms are open-air, and bedrooms have large windows and terraces that bring the lush greenery of the surrounding gardens inside.   

The property consists of a central block with living room, TV room, and dining room, as well as four suites with independent access. The outside terrace has a large pool and plenty of space for soaking in the sun.  

ADDITIONAL FEATURES  

All suites have air conditioning telephone and safety box. Amenities include TV and audio, 24-hour security, laundry facilities and beach towels. The house benefits from access to all of the resort's facilities (restaurants, pools and sports). There is a free daily cleaning service. Lunches and dinners, or groceries, can be ordered, and a private chef is available (for 220 reais per day).

AROUND  

Itacaré has 16 beaches overlooked by rocky mountains covered in rainforest. The land is littered with river mouths and waterfalls, and inhabited by rich fauna and flora. The small beaches of Tiririca, Rezende and Costa are to the south of Itacaré, followed by other calmer and wilder beaches such as Jeribucaçu and Engenhoca, accessible through trail walks in the woods.   

The culture of Bahia is one of the richest and most varied in Brazil, with Carnival, June parties, the washing of the steps of the Bonfim, the party of Santa Barbara, the Yemanja party and the São Sebastião party.   

LOCATION  

Itacaré, Bahia, Brazil. Nearest airport: Ilhéus airport. Domestic companies have regular flights from the main capital (Rio/Sao Paulo/Salvador) cities to Ilhéus (2-hour flight from Sao Paulo, 30 minutes from Salvador). The drive to the resort (40km) takes 45 minutes. Arrival at the resort's heliport by helicopter is also possible.
