Holding a coveted space in the premier 2019 Modernism Tour, this meticulously-restored, 1963-built mid-century modern home in Palm Springs greets visitors with a pink front door that conjures up all the warmth of California’s famous golden hours.
With spectacular views of the San Jacinto Mountains, the Besveca House is located on the sixth fairway of the storied Indian Canyons Golf Resort North Course, designed by architect William F. Bell. The surrounding neighborhood is known for its collection of midcentury architecture.
Shag rugs and stone floors underfoot, the spacious floor plan features a breeze block wall, period-appropriate furniture, and large sliding doors lead out to an expansive backyard with an undulating pool, outdoor seating areas and a fire pit.
"You just never know who might have danced across these floors," say the owners of their wise decision to keep the original stonework in their immaculate restoration. We’re glad they did – it’s stunning.

The Besveca House, named after the first initial of the owners' seven children, was initially constructed in 1963 by builder and developer Harry Kelso. This mid-century modern home in Palm Springs was one of the first to be completed in the Canyon Country Club Estates development, and is believed to be one of the its model homes. In 2017 the house was gut-renovated, mostly adhering to the original floor plan.
