A Beautifully Renovated Condesa Apartment
With its three elegantly appointed bedrooms, contemporary tiles in the baths and kitchen, and abundance of oversized windows in its gleaming, loft like common areas, this Condesa gem offers a sophisticated oasis within one of Mexico City’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Plus, the building has a doorman.
Elegant, Modern Apartment Renovation in a Condesa Building with a Doorman
Metal clad windows and doors put a contemporary spin on this spacious, open apartment overlooking a vibrant street in historic Condesa. The apartment’s common areas—living, dining, sleek kitchen with bar—have high ceilings, gleaming raw floors and clean-lined furnishings punctuated by multipaned banks of windows and doors that wash the space with sunlight.
Three bedrooms (one a double queen room) make room for eight, and the building has a small balcony patio. Artwork and plants add to the refinements, and the furnishings and fixtures are modern with a dash of the mid-century modern.
Around
Your base for exploring Condesa, a Mexico City enclave known for its vintage architecture, this cool, modern apartment offers right-out-the-door access to one of the city’s hippest, most colorful quarters. Home to Mexico City’s elite since the early 20th century, La Condesa is a vibrant neighborhood with a rich cultural history. Art Deco architecture and Art Nouveau mansions line most streets giving the area a European feel, and the neighborhood is also home to several parks—Parque México, Parque España—plus dozens of leafy squares and aristocratic courtyards.
Its abundance of green spaces has made it the neighborhood for dog-walkers and runners, and most parks have canine zones to welcome the pooches. Sidewalk cafes and restaurants join lower key taquerias, and tabernas join trendy boutiques along the neighborhood’s busy streets. The area fills with young professionals by night, who gather at bars and nightclubs. A great base for exploring greater Mexico City, La Condesa has bohemian origins—this section of the city rose in fame as the preferred stomping grounds of artists and intellectuals during the Mexican Revolution.
The property is in Condesa’s Colonia Hípodromo, one of three smaller subdivisions that make up the entire neighborhood. Avenida Amsterdam has a leafy median at its center, and is a great spot to take in the area’s classic architecture. And the vast Bosque de Chapultepec is right next door.
