A New Hospitality Project by Luca Pronzato and WE ARE ONA in a Listed 1973 Villa by Emile Sala
Casa Ideale brings together artists, designers, chefs, and creators around hybrid projects that merge art, design, hospitality, and culinary experiences.
Located just 10 minutes from Arles, Casa Ideale, also known as Villa Bank, is a venue where culture, design, and hospitality coexist and respond to one another. The house is one of two organic villas designed in the 1970s by architect Émile Sala and labeled as Architecture Contemporaine Remarquable by the French Ministry of Culture.
Spanning 350 square meters, the villa unfolds through soft curves and a south-facing logic. Its interiors, curated by Luca Pronzato and WE ARE ONA in collaboration with gallerist Luna Laffanour, feature a curated selection of collectible design pieces, including works by Pierre Chapo, Jean Prouvé, Philippe Starck, Gaetano Pesce, and Henri Bataille, among others. The space is also elevated by a photography exhibition drawn from Carla Sozzani’s archive collection.
The property offers five suites and a pool terrace opening onto a one-hectare garden. From May to October, a curated cultural program transforms each stay into an experience closer to a private invitation than a traditional rental.
Casa Ideale is available for exclusive private rental from May 18 through October 31, with accommodation for up to 10 guests. A minimum stay of three nights applies during May, June, September, and October. In July and August, the villa is rented on a weekly basis only, from Saturday to Saturday.
Half-board is included in your stay and features breakfast along with one main meal (lunch or dinner), prepared and served in the villa by a private chef.
For guests wishing to enjoy a fully curated dining experience, full board is available at an additional €70 per person per day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all prepared in-house by a private chef.
What we love
This is where culinary meets architecture and design. Stay in a listed 1973 villa, eat food cooked by Michelin Green Star chefs, sleep next to a Jean Prouvé. Carla Sozzani has brought 67 photographic works spanning Urs Lüthi to Helmut Newton. Gallerist Luna Laffanour has curated the design collection including works from Gaetano Pesce to Jean Prouvé, among others. Chefs Sayaka Sawaguchi and Gil Nogueira will be cooking in the garden, bringing a blend of cuisine that's between Japanese and Portuguese, and whatever Champagne-Ardenne is offering that week.
Experiences
Casa Ideale runs from May through October, with its inaugural 2026 season gathering figures from Luca Pronzato’s extended creative universe. Guests are invited to stay and dine in a 1970s modernist architectural villa, reimagined as a living gallery. The space features a photography exhibition by Carla Sozzani, bringing together more than 67 works, from Urs Lüthi to Helmut Newton; a curated design collection by Luna Laffanour, spanning from Gaetano Pesce to Jean Prouvé; and a culinary program by WE ARE ONA. A dedicated on-site host and daily housekeeping are provided throughout the stay.
