Corsaro Architetti Draw Inspiration From Apulian Traditions
Apulian architects Corsaro Architetti have crafted this modern holiday home in Italy with a purity of form and a masterful use of materials, creating a stylish and contemporary homage to the traditional homes of the region. We love the spare design and slide away glass walls that mimic the feel of floating on the landscape.
Corsaro Architetti Draw Inspiration From Apulian Traditions
Apulian architects Corsaro Architetti have crafted this modern holiday home in Italy with a purity of form and a masterful use of materials, creating a stylish and contemporary homage to the traditional homes of the region. We love the spare design and slide-away glass walls that mimic the feel of floating on the landscape.
Set within vast park-like gardens in the Val d'Itria, the home is a stylishly modern residence in the tradition of the Apulian region where Corsaro Architetti's extensive knowledge of traditional building techniques and cultural influences define much of their work.
The home's features are simple and straightforward but with a refined elegance combining an aesthetically appealing and practical design with subtle touches of luxury.
Composed of dry stone, glass, concrete, and wood, the home's pristine lines and clean silhouette is punctuated with slide away panoramic windows facing opposing views of the landscape.
The open plan living area is arranged around a central pendant fireplace with a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with sliding glass that opens out to the outdoor dining area and gardens. The en suite master bedroom is on one end while there are two additional double bedrooms on the opposite side, each with private access to the terraces and gardens.
Surrounded by woods, olive and fruit groves, the expansive grounds include a large swimming pool and plenty of space to wander and enjoy the spectacular scenery.
THE VAL D'ITRIA
A truly unique cultural experience, this area of Italy offers amazing food, wine and miles of beautiful Adriatic coastline. Located just a few miles from the famous “White Town” town of Ostuni, the house is also just a short drive to some of Puglia’s loveliest beaches on the Costa Merlata.
Ideally placed for exploring the enchanting Valle d’Itria, the villages of Martina Franca, Cisternino and Locorotondo are some of the most well preserved and fascinating in Puglia.
The charming little fishing harbor of Savelletri and the lovely old town of Ceglie Messapica, renowned for its excellent cuisine, are both under a half-hour away.
The amazing Torre Guaceto nature reserve includes both a widely protected marine and wilderness area perfect for exploring the coastal beauty. Don’t miss the charming old town of Polignano a Mare with breathtaking cliffside views of the Adriatic.
