A Culinary Stay in CDMX by Enrique Olvera
Conceived as a space for creative exchange and inspired by the logic of artist residencies, Casa Teo occupies the first floor of the original Pujol building. Savvy Studio handled the branding and material identity, grounded in typographic restraint and tactile natural materials (Japanese papers, raw leathers, surfaces that read as deliberate rather than merely neutral). The open kitchen and communal dining table remain the spatial and social heart of the project. TEO 2 adds a dedicated living room, giving larger groups room to breathe.
Casa TEO 2 offers three bedrooms across four beds, two full bathrooms, and a guest WC. The apartment centers on an open professional kitchen with an island and dining space, complemented by a separate comfortable living room. The curated gastronomy library remains part of the shared project, serving guests as both a reading room and workspace. An espresso machine and drip coffee maker are provided.
What we love
We love how the owner, chef Enrique Olvera, personally curated the details of this apartment in one of the best neighborhoods in CDMX, and above one of the coolest mezcal bars in town. This is hospitality as we like it, a beautifully designed space, neutral tones, handcrafted ceramics, and a curated art collection. Not to mention the handpicked gastronomic literature providing an in-house library for food lovers.

Around
Polanco began its development in the late 1920s and is today Mexico City's most cosmopolitan colonia: walkable avenues named for intellectuals, embassy residences, design shops, and a concentration of serious restaurants that has no parallel in the country. Casa TEO sits on Francisco Petrarca, the street where Pujol was born. Its current address on Tennyson is a 10-minute walk. Two-Michelin-star Quintonil is on the same block. Parque Lincoln is three minutes on foot. Bosque de Chapultepec and the National Museum of Anthropology are a 15-minute walk. Museo Soumaya and Museo Jumex—the David Chipperfield-designed contemporary art institution—anchor the cultural offer to the north. The metro's Polanco station serves the neighborhood.
