Surrounded by Olive Groves
This recently renovated, modern country house has a picturesque location in the hills of Camaiore, in the province of Lucca, only a few minutes' drive from the splendid beaches of Versilia.
The home is surrounded by olive groves and has a completely open view of the valley up to the sea. The owners Astrid and Peter Gufler personally welcome and introduce the guests on Saturday, and they are available to deal with any issues guests may have during the week.
The main house is 160sqm in size. On the ground floor, you will find the living room with an open fireplace, a 46in flat-screen TV, wireless high-speed internet, an iPod sound dock, and a large professionally equipped kitchen. There is an adjacent room with a single bed that can turn into a double if needed. It has an attached bathroom, washing machine and dryer. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with double beds and bathrooms, one with shower and the other with a shower and a whirlpool bathtub.
About 15m from the main house near the pool there is a 30sqm pool house with a double bedroom, en-suite bathroom with shower, and a kitchenette. There is a covered pergola with a dining place, and a wood and gas grill 5m from the house.
AROUND
Italy is a country known and cherished for its passionate people, natural beauty, cuisine, and beautiful culture. The Villa is located on a hillside above Camaiore in the Province of Lucca, and it's a perfect destination to travel to and from nearby cities and beaches.
It is a charming town with plenty of services and activities, markets and restaurants. The location combines the beauty of Tuscany, the dramatic scenery, the medieval towns and villages and their cultural treasures, with the added advantage of a mild climate due to the proximity of the Mediterranean Sea.
Explore the chic beaches of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, the lively town of Pietrasanta, home of many artists and stone sculptors, the marble quarries of Carrara, Pisa and the walled city of Lucca, all within a 20- to 40-minute drive. To the north-east is the mountainous area of the Garfagnana, with its ancient stone villages, waterfalls and hiking paths with breathtaking views.
Visit Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, the Chianti-region, the Maremma, the Cinque Terre and Portofino, all one to two hours away.
