With its spacious barn-like volumes, this house allows for the rediscovery of rural Portuguese architectural tradition, with a bright new perspective. The spacious, whitewashed, 550sqm home offers eight ensuite bedrooms (doubles that can be split into two singles), a large living room with high, exposed beam ceilings and plenty of comfortable seating for unwinding. A fireplace and oversized sliding doors lead to a shaded outdoor entertaining terrace with wide open views of the valley. There’s yoga equipment for 16 people, including mats, straps, blocks and bolsters, and a heated swimming pool. Décor is minimalist and natural, with ample built-in seating, and all bedrooms have private terraces.

A 100-square-meter yoga deck is nestled in nature outdoors, and the property offers an on-site, by-reservation massage house. Optional services include customized catering/chef services, organic produce baskets, bike rental and a two-seater Rhino.

Located in Sesimbra, only a half hour south of Lisbon, the property’s rural location ensures a retreat from the urban and hurried, and day trip possibilities are numerous. The nearest beach is 10 kilometers from the property, as is the nearest golf course, and shops/services are closer (5km), with a riding club in between (8km). Only five kilometers from the estate is Lagoa de Albufeira, an area known for its bird watching and its picturesque lagoon that opens out onto a beautiful Atlantic beach, the Praia da Lagoa de Albufeira. This protected beach is part of a greater 26-kilometer stretch of golden sand that forms the Costa da Caparica coastline. Kite surfing and windsurfing are popular sports in the sheltered lagoon, while the rolling surf on the open coastline draws surfers and more experienced kite surfers.
