A Chelsea Townhouse on a Quiet Square, Three Minutes from the Thames
Flood Walk runs along the southern edge of Chelsea's most residential quarter, a short block from the Thames and within easy reach of everything—the Saatchi Gallery, the Saturday farmers' market at Duke of York Square, the Chelsea Physic Garden (one of the oldest in Britain, founded 1673, and genuinely two minutes from the front door). Its fashion designer owner has furnished this townhouse with rich colors, design books, and a proper kitchen. The Chelsea Physic Garden is two minutes on foot; the Thames embankment is three. Sloane Square station is an 11-minute walk. The Saatchi Gallery, Duke of York Square's Saturday market, and some of London's better restaurants are within a kilometer.
The open-plan kitchen runs to a double oven, dishwasher, and island seating for informal meals. The living room has an HDTV with streaming services and a shelf of design and architecture books. A dedicated workspace occupies a quiet corner. Room-darkening blinds throughout. Bluetooth sound system. Air conditioning in the primary suite; central heating throughout the house.
The house sits on a quiet residential square, with a shared entrance path and no garden.
What we love
Spread across three floors of beautifully selected, fashion-forward design, this Victorian gem perfectly captures the feeling of living like a stylish local rather. The magic of the location lies in its walkability. You can spend your morning wandering through the 17th-century walled acres of the Chelsea Physic Garden just two minutes away, your afternoon exploring the world-class Saatchi Gallery, and your evening strolling along the nearby Thames Embankment before heading back to sink into your top-floor suite. It is a wonderfully polished sanctuary that puts the very best of London’s high-end culinary and design scenes right at your doorstep.
