A Dreamlike Oasis of Luxury & Whimsy
This dreamlike oasis is everything you imagine of Marrakesh - with a few charming surprises! The exotic romance and distinctive beauty of Morocco is mixed with a stylish mix of European influences, along with the whimsical, magical realist animal sculptures that inhabit the property by French artist Jean-Francois Fourtou.
Purchased in 1995 by two friends, the villa was first a fortified farm, then a residence for artists, inspiring Fourtou’s work during his time living here, as well as a humanitarian organization and a yoga/meditation retreat.
Redesigned by Interior Designer Philippe Forrestier into a luxurious full service retreat, the property is a playful fusion of style, culture and artistic creation, designed to delight and inspire.
Dar El Sadaka recently won a Condé Nast Johansens Award of Excellence for the third year in a row, with the 2022 award for best villa in the Mediterranean region. What they said: "Dar El Sadaka is a stunning, quirky and utterly unique villa. Set within 25 acres of oasis-like gardens, this sprawling luxury villa just outside of Marrakesh deftly illustrates the cultural intersection of European and North African style along with the whimsical and magical works of French artist Jean-Francois Fourtou, whose on site monumental park features transporting works such as the enormous Ant Nest, upside down Fallen From the Sky house, and an oversized, untidy child's bedroom installation entitled Range ta chambre!
The property was designed in an unusual combination of luxury and serenity with a deeply rooted tradition of hospitality, ensuring an atmosphere of harmony and relaxation.
The spacious interiors are stylishly composed of contemporary and classic Moroccan furnishings and art that highlight the romantic old-world beauty of Morocco with chic understated elegance.
The 10 ensuite rooms are individually themed and decorated and are distributed around the mimosa courtyard with room for up to 24 guests (plus three infants). The property includes a library and home cinema, spa facilities with hammam, fitness room, tennis court and a boules court.
The private chef and staff serve a delicious menu of classic Moroccan and international cuisine with locally sourced ingredients and fresh produce from the on-site organic gardens. Guests can enjoy an enchanted dinner under the Tree of 1000 candles, in the sumptuous Caidale Tent, or under the stars on the roof terrace.
The extensive property features cozy alcoves, lounging areas, courtyards and patios tucked away among the gardens along with the large swimming pool surrounded by olive trees and promenades that invite you to stroll or lounge within view of the majestic Atlas Mountains. Around
Just a few miles northeast of central Marrakesh, the famed Medina is a short drive into the vibrant heart of the souks, markets and cafes. The nearby Atlas Mountains and Ourika Valley are ideal for day trips and the three-hour drive to the Atlantic coast is worth the trip for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of El Jadida, a fortified former Portuguese colony that features both western and eastern influence. The laid-back beach town of Essaouira with sandy-colored ramparts, whitewashed avenues, French-style piazzas and fishing port are just south of the iconic city of Casablanca.

It is the most lovely place in the whole world ❤️🇲🇦
I hosted a birthday party event over four days at Dar El Sadaka and our experience from arrival to departure was outstanding. The villa is beautiful with every room unique, so much so that all the guests wanted to tour every room to see for themselves. The grounds are spectacular, enormous pool, tennis court, table tennis, beautiful gardens and the incredible sculpture park. We experienced different and unique events for lunch and dinner every day, all arranged seamlessly by the staff. The evening events in particular were spectacular, no photographs could do them justice. The staff are all very friendly and professional, on hand at all times and made our stay perfect. A particular mention should be made of the wonderful food, no dish repeated over the four days and everything delicious. Thank you to everyone at Dar El Sadaka for making our stay perfect, it is nearly impossible for any other venue to compare!
Thank you so much! We had a wonderful time here in Marrakech with so many fun family activities but the best times were here in the villa. This is a magical house and we created so many magical family memories – under the tent, under the trees and under the bright blue Moroccan winter skies. We will be back for sure!!
