New Geometry in Century City, LA

This newly constructed contemporary studio is an instant California classic. Attached to a larger home on a quiet, tree-lined street in the middle of LA, this calm oasis is the wabi-sabi-inspired creation of architect Avi Galili. The newly-built studio exudes California flair—that casual, warm, natural elegance awash in light and surrounded by green. It has a private entry.

California Classic

Located walking distance from Los Angeles’ Century City Mall, this calm oasis is unexaggerated and easygoing, the relaxing, wabi-sabi-inspired creation of architect Avi Galili. The newly-built studio exudes California flair—that casual, warm, natural elegance awash in light and surrounded by green. A neutral palette pervades, from the taj mahal stone dining table to the distressed wood accents. A quartz countertop dresses up the galley kitchen, and the gated entry on a quiet, leafy street walking distance from the bustling heart of Century City is plant filled, urban chic and welcoming.

Around

Located in central LA, the home is close to the Westfield Century City Mall, a massive temple of America’s top retailers, with hundreds of stores from the luxurious and exclusive to the popular and trendy. Cooking classes, pop-up shops, concerts and loads of dining options, plus a rooftop terrace with views across to the Hollywood Hills, make the mall a destination in its own right. The Century City neighborhood owes its existence to the 20th Century Fox studios, who in the mid-1950s decided to release some studio land to real estate development, giving birth to the area as a residential and professional enclave. Towering buildings, sleek urban architecture, and luxury high-rise condos meet classic mid-century modern era buildings, all of them lined with open-air patios and sidewalk dining ventures. More upscale than gritty inner city, the densely populated area stays alive evenings after work, via restaurants and international food courts such as Eataly. The neighborhood also offers easy access to glittering Beverly Hills and the nearby beach towns of Santa Monica and Venice.
