Designed by Australian architect Bruce Fell-Smith, this villa set along the southern tip of the island within steps to the sand, is a smartly conceived resort-style villa that's long on luxury but without the stuffy pretense. Facing the beach in relative seclusion, the property is expansive and private with lush grounds, jungle and shoreline and is ideal for groups or families looking for their own slice of paradise. Modeled after some of the original colonial architecture found in nearby Galle, the villa combines tropical open-air living with tasteful, traditional design.

The main pavilion features soaring ceilings and a relaxing lounge looking out to sea, with traditional Sri Lankan and Asian influences along with relaxed contemporary style. Well appointed and modern, the design also celebrates the natural beauty of the island with a casual indoor-outdoor flow throughout.

The villas has four complete suites, each feature en-suite baths (two with outdoor tropical baths), private entrances and spectacular views of the ocean and gardens. Each of the master suites is situated at opposite ends of the property for maximum privacy.

Your private in-house chef and staff serve fresh choices of international and local cuisine and you can join him to shop and select your day's catch and menu or cook on your own if you'd like. Dinner is served al fresco.

Within steps of a private strip of Dahawella Beach, the villa is also conveniently located within a short drive to historic and colonial Galle Fort. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it's one the most well-preserved colonial cities on the island. Unawatuna, Wijaya and Midigama beaches are just around the bend, and you are a two-hour drive from Colombo.
