A Chalet for Two in the Heart of the Schilcherland Wine Region
This building's past as a Troadkostn, or grain storage building, lends a charming, rustic character that is preserved in the home's revitalized design. Natural materials, from the pine wood kitchen fronts to the exposed stone, have been combined with a polished concrete floor and decorated with handcrafted glass art by owner Johanna Krainer. The open-plan interior includes a compact kitchen with an induction cooker and an Illy coffee machine. The living and sleeping areas are open plan, and this home for two also features a free-standing bathtub on its upper floor, with a panoramic view of the Schilcherland.
The chalet has a private terrace with seating and direct access to a private fenced garden, making it the only dog-friendly retreat on the property. The terrace is also home to a private, pinewood outdoor sauna with panoramic glazing, offering an immersive wellness experience. Guests have access to the communal areas, which include an infinity pool, a barbecue area, and a 300-year-old wine cellar for sampling local wines.
