A Sunlit Hideaway beneath the Hollywood Sign
Tucked into the leafy curves of Beachwood Canyon, this three-bedroom early Hollywoodland house, built in 1926, offers an elevated slice of Los Angeles—thoughtfully designed, quietly luxurious, and attuned to both the rhythms of the metropolis and the stillness of its natural spaces. This home is ideal for creatives, couples and slow travelers who value aesthetic integrity and local connection.
Inside, the home shows a palette of natural textures and soft light. Warm wood, plaster walls, and comfortable furnishings create a relaxed sense of calm. An indoor fireplace anchors the open living space, while floor-to-ceiling windows invite the outdoors in—daylight pouring through in the morning, city lights shimmering at night.
Outdoor, the patio area with a sauna and cold plunge provide a wellness sanctuary, and a barbecue grill and seating are perfect for slow breakfasts or sundown aperitifs and dinners.
What we love
We agree with Yolanda Edwards of YOLO Journal, who described this home as "just magical—a fireplace (that we used from morning to night), a great kitchen (that we used for 3 out of 5 nights), and stocked with all the things you need: great pans, toaster, nice bath products and towels, even candles for the table at night. Oh–and an infrared sauna and cold plunge tub! We loved walking the three minutes from our house to the Beachwood Cafe to get our coffee, then hiking through Beachwood Canyon (which is right below the Hollywood sign)."
