A Cape Town Rural Retreat on Cape Penninsula
This private farm estate is available in full for six guests (in its chalet and main guest house), or as standalone units (main guesthouse with garden or chalet for adults only, without garden). A next-gen farm estate in the Cape Town suburb of Noordhoek on the Cape Peninsula, it's surrounded by vast, 8,200-square-meter grounds planted with indigenous and Tuscan-styled flora, and it offers ocean, garden and mountain views. Plus it has a river running through it.
The main house
The property’s main house, its interior clad in custom oak and stone, features two king-sized bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and fireplaces, a living room anchored by a statement fireplace, a library, and a spacious deck. In addition to two outdoor showers, the main house garden has six outdoor living and meditation areas, with water features. These include a waterfall-fed stream that runs through the garden to create the farm dam above which there’s a spacious outdoor grill and seating area, and an outdoor sauna. There’s also a seaview swimming pool with loungers and hot tubs.
The chalet
A separate 70-square meter chalet below the dam offers a private space for two adults, insulated from the main guesthouse. The chalet offers one bedroom, both indoor and outdoor bathrooms, a farm-style kitchen and a sunset deck. There’s a small office space and a wood-fired hot tub for after-work relaxation. If booked alone, full garden access is restricted.
The grounds
The farm estate’s gardens feature flowers, forests, grasses and classic rockscaping, as well as cultivated produce fields, an olive grove, and Mediterranean-styled herb gardens. Several varieties of indigenous protea are grown in the grounds, and rare varieties are tended in the greenhouse. Myriad wildlife can be found in the lush gardens and the dam area, and the farm has conservation practices in place to ensure sustainability and an abundance of bird and plant species. Views from the property extend across the majestic Chapman’s Peak Mountain, and the neighboring property is a producing vineyard.
Naturalists will love that the property’s library features a wide range of literature on the garden and the Cape’s biodiversity, and the main house’s sunset deck serves as a panoramic observation landing with Cape Peninsula and ocean views and wildlife watching. A waterfall splashes beneath the deck, creating a meditative ambiance and the farm dam below is surrounded by old growth trees. The sauna stands in a park-like area of the garden. An on-site greenhouse is home to rare plant species and houses a collection of succulents, and is open by appointment.
Additional features
A battery-operated, limited backup electric system functions on-site during outages. A water filtration backup system is also in place. High-speed fiber optic internet service is installed. The sauna is a Finnish oven-powered space. The pool is 3m x 5m. On-site parking is available.

A five-minute walk down a village lane from the property leads to restaurants, pubs, a coffee roastery and bakery, and a Wednesday-evening food market. Noordhoek's famed Longbeach is a five-minute drive from the farm. Also five minutes away are Cape Point Vineyards, a renowned wine estate, home to great wines, a restaurant, and picnic spots, plus a Thursday-evening food market.
