Set on a Norwegian peninsula alongside the serene waters of a sparkling lake, this four-bedroom villa offers lakefront living with warm, modern chalet styling. Bedrooms include two double bedrooms, one room with two singles, and a fourth bedroom with a double bed and a single bunk overhead. Each of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, one with a tub and all with showers.

The home’s common areas are elegant, with crisp, contemporary furnishings, plush seating and refined cooking and dining areas (for eight), plus oversized picture windows and an abundance of warm interior wood.

The panoramas continue on outdoor terrace spaces, with seating areas, a fire pit and barbecue, plus a sauna and a bubbling jacuzzi under the stars. The home comes equipped for outdoor adventures, including two kayaks, two SUPs, fishing gear, and a private boat (a Pioneer 15 25HP) that is available for an additional charge. An electric car charger is on site.

Its sister house, Lakehouse Cedar can be rented with the home for a total of up to 16 guests.

Located in Norway’s picturesque Vrådal region, this home stands opposite a glimmering lake, ready for water sport adventures—fishing, kayaking, SUP exploring and boating. In wintertime, the frozen lake creates a private ice-skating rink. And in summertime, the lake’s clear waters are great for swimming and splashing. The area is ripe for outdoor adventure, with cycling and hiking trails in the warmer months and snowmobiling and husky-driven sledding in the snow. A ski resort is a 10-minute drive from the property, as is a beautiful golf course.

Though it feels isolated, the home is a 10-minute drive to restaurants, shops and a supermarket in the town of Kviteseid, a village along the Vrådal’s Telemark Canal. The Tveitgrend Trail offers either a 7.6 kilometer loop or a shorter 2.5 kilometer trail (Veslerunden) along Lake Bandak, a water lined by steep cliffs and old-growth forests. Rock climbers should head to the 110-meter high wall at Sundenuten, a terrain with more than 100 marked routes suited for beginners to expert climbers. The charming village of Vrådal is about 10 kilometers from the home, home to the ski resort and mountainous forests cut through with paths for cyclists. Hardangervidda National Park is about 45 kilometers from the properties, a mountainous park with rich wildlife, including reindeer, musk oxen, and dozens of bird species. Snowshoers and cross-country skiers love to explore the park in winter months. The historic village of Notodden (40km) is the sightseers’ destination in the area, a UNESCO World Heritage site for its industrial heritage and hydropower.
