A Historic Manor House Gets a Modern Lift
This former manor house was built 150 years ago by a distinguished Mallorcan family from Pollença. When the current owners purchased it in 2012, it was still owned by the family's descendants but was in a state of disrepair.
The new owners, architects and designers themselves, started the rebuilding, with a view to retaining the classic basic structure of the property plus the historic quality of the architecture, while giving it a new, modern and pure makeover.
The end result is a blend of old with new, highlighting the best of both, with, according to its owners, nothing fake or imitated. The design is clean and modern with bursts of original stone walls and stunning views of the old town reminding guests of where they are.
Designed to be used throughout the entire year, the building is cool and shaded in summer, and bright, cozy and comfortable in the winter. The house sleeps seven guests comfortably in three double-bedrooms. If needed, a very cozy and nice bunkbedroom offers additional space.

The town center and market are within easy walking distance of the property. There are many beaches and bays nearby. The house makes a great base for walking, hiking, cycling, culture, dining, sailing, windsurfing, or for exploring the island by motorcycle or car.
The lovely Mallorcan town of Pollenca is made up of winding lanes full of little boutiques and gift shops selling locally crafted goods, including jewelry, ceramics, fabrics and interior decorations. Placa Major, the main square is where you'll find the 18th-century Nostra Senyora Del Angels church with its stunning rose window. The other main church in the town is the Convent de Sant Domingo, which is home to the Museum of Pollenca, with its collection of prehistoric sculptures and contemporary art. It also hosts the town's celebrated classical music festival and the Pollenca Art Fair at the beginning of November.

Best time to visit
Most tourists visit Mallorca in the high season. As a result, we recommend the more gently-paced spring, autumn and winter seasons on the island. The climate is lovely then, still sunny and warm, but not too hot, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and very friendly.

Hi Ulrike!! We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the house a lot!! Your house is amazing :)
Perfection in Pollença Traveling with kids as small as ours (3 and 1) is always such a challenge but we found the house and all the information provided so incredibly helpful. Ulrike is a kind, communicative, and thoughtful host. The house was in a perfect location, close to main attractions (beach, top restaurants, Calvari steps) and parking was quite easy. The house itself is incredible, every room was a treat to be in. The pool and terrace were so wonderful for adults and kids it made the property hard to leave! From the linens to the coffee generously awaiting every detail was so thoughtful and Ulrike anticipated our every need. We will be coming again!
LLeo 57 was perfect! It exceeded all of our expectations and set a new standard in future vacation home rentals. The owners were very helpful and welcoming. We were so delighted to meet Detlef and both he and Ulrike were incredibly responsive to all of our inquiries. They have thought of everything in the design and outfitting of their home to make it extremely comfortable and modern yet retain amazing historical qualities. We had a few friends join us throughout our stay and the house affords a great deal of privacy for all guests. The second kitchen on the third floor is a wonderful feature. And the outdoor shower is a dream! Housekeeping and pool maintenance were outstanding! The location of the home is superb. It is an easy walk to shops, the main square, wonderful restaurants, and local sites. We fell in love with the city of Pollenca and her citizens, who also welcomed us throughout our stay. Pollenca is an easy drive from Palma and it was a terrific home base for exploring the island's many attractions. We are fortunate to travel quite extensively, and this was one of our very favorite trips! We cannot wait to return!!
We can only warmly recommend Lleo 57: Already the reception by the Spanish neighbor was very friendly, everything was well explained, the house was in perfect condition and very clean. We really liked the location in the middle of the old town of Pollenca far away from the tourist strongholds. The fact that the owners are architects by profession could be noticed in every corner and with every line, we have never had a more beautiful holiday home before. The in-house pool with various sun loungers, barbecue station etc is all day in the sun, in the garage we had the opportunity to do our laundry, which is very advantageous for three small children. The facilities were perfect, both kitchen, bathrooms, bedroom, library, TV room left nothing to be desired!
I had a great stay at Lleo 57 with my husband and 10-month old baby. The house is beautiful, well located and really well equipped with everything you could need. It was very hot in Mallorca when we were there but the air con worked perfectly making the house a lovely retreat and the pool area was beautiful when we did want to enjoy the sun. We particularly enjoyed using the current generator in the pool to have a longer swim. Parking outside the property was really easy and we always managed to find a space. Ulrike and Detlef are also very friendly and helpful hosts who always responded to any questions promptly. We would definitely stay at Lleo 57 again in the future!
It doesn't get any better than that! We spent wonderful autumn holidays in this house in 2017. Even the nice communication with Mrs. Rahe in advance made it clear that it is a special house. Lleo57 is the stylish Spanish home of a family and it really thinks of everything! The house and the spacious outdoor area offer a lot of space. Depending on the time of day and temperature, there are perfect places: breakfast on the terrace with morning sun, bathing and sunbathing by the pool and later grilling and ending the evening in the patio with atmospheric lighting. Pollenca and Lleo57 is great for those looking for more than just beach. The house invites you to stay at home and is a perfect starting point for excursions. Recommended is the weekly market Sunday morning on the Placa Major.
