AROUND

The village of Maussane located in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region is a charming and traditional town renown for it's ancient production of France's finest extra virgin olive oil. Surrounded by fertile farmland and vast stretches of olive plantations and lavender fields, its the quintessential and picturesque Provencal life. 

The region is well known for its superb gastronomy and several Michelin starred restaurants along with the more humble but always delicious country fare and local markets. Well known as the home to Van Gogh's most stunning imagery, the L'Asile St. Paul where many of his iconic masterpieces were completed is within a 10-minute drive, as is his home town of Arles just a 15-minute drive further. 

The lovely hillside town of Les Baux de Provence features spectacular views and world class cafes or you can stroll the winding streets to explore the galleries and markets of St. Remy or the antique shops of L’isle sur La Sorgue. The Papal palaces in Avignon and the grand city of Aix en Provence are within a forty minute drive and the coastal towns of Cassis with its spectacular limestone cliffs and secluded beaches and bustling port town of Marseilles are just over an hour south.
