A Conical Hideaway in Italy's Heel

This traditional trullo has been thoughtfully restored with a careful attention to its historical authenticity and detail. Built over 100 years ago, the structure is one of many unique to the region and is a faithful example of the construction and building techniques throughout the area.

The living room is placed within the heart of the ancient lamia, with an old stone fireplace and views of the pool and gardens. There's a fully equipped kitchen with seating for four inside and a lovely area under the olive trees for dining outside.

The interiors of the three bedrooms are a mix of sophistication and rustic character with tastefully selected detail, decor and furnishings. Two of the three en-suite bedrooms reside within the main part of the trullo, and each has independent access to the garden.

The grounds include an infinity pool and lounge areas set within native Mediterranean gardens, and the spacious rooftop terrace overlooks the countryside of olive trees and oak forests providing the perfect spot to enjoy an aperitif at sunset.

Trullo delle Rose is a smaller unit about 20 meters from the main trullo that's perfect for a couple or family with one child. It has one bedroom and an alcove with a single bed, as well as a living room, kitchen and bathroom. It has its own garden with barbecue and access to the shared pool. It can be rented in addition to the main house, or as a separate unit.

The villa is bordered on one side by a road (SP22) that connects Ostuni with Ceglie Messapica.

Located just a few miles from the famous "White Town" town of Ostuni, the house is also just a short drive to some of Puglia's loveliest beaches on the Costa Merlata. It's also ideally placed for exploring the enchanting Valle d’Itria, and the villages of Martina Franca, Cisternino and Locorotondo are some of the most well preserved and fascinating in Puglia. The charming little fishing harbor of Savelletri and the lovely old town of Ceglie Messapica, renowned for its excellent cuisine, are both under a half-hour away.

The amazing Torre Guaceto nature reserve, includes both a widely protected marine and wilderness area perfect for exploring the coastal beauty. Don't miss the charming old town of Polignano a Mare with breathtaking cliffside views of the Adriatic just 30 miles away.
