Stair Stepping Out To Sea
A gleaming white Cycladic beach beauty, this modern villa’s bleached, Miami-Beach-inspired interiors capture attention with their sophisticated, tropical art-house vibe. But it’s the villa’s multi levels, extending out to the sea by way of paved and pebbled terraces and two seaside pools, that really reach out and grab the spotlight.
Miami Beach-inspired on Mykonos
Local stone retaining walls define the bright structure’s exterior footprint—a collection of two guest houses in addition to the main villa. Designer features include a svelte mirror pool (in addition to the shimmering infinity pool), a polished veranda, outdoor dining zones on every level, and a private beach. There's also an outdoor shower and bar for après swimming and sunset happy hours. The gated property offers Aegean views all the way out to Apollo’s mythological birthplace, the archeologically significant Isle of Delos. And sailboats and ferries pass along the peninsula right in front of the house.
With a total of five double bedrooms across three structures, the villa makes a great landing spot for large family gatherings or small groups of friends.
Additional features
The house has a private chef, a caretaker plus two housekeepers, all of whom live on the property. Daily breakfast plus an additional daily meal (lunch or dinner, costs of ingredients extra) are included, as are a twice-weekly linen change, luggage assistance on arrival and departure, pool and garden maintenance, property management, and utilities. The owners provide assistance booking cars, ATVs and/or scooters.
Extra concierge services, from booking a private chef or butler, to boat hire, tours, and fitness and wellness services are also available at an additional fee.
Around
Offering a private beach accessible to a larger, public beach and an exclusive peninsular location on Mykonos that feels a bit like its own separate island, the villa lets you enjoy the islands many charms, but remains delightfully apart from its constant buzz. The heart of Mykonos village is a 20-minute walk, while the nearest community is the village of Ornos, only a 10-minute stroll from the home, passing other upmarket residences and hotels and a handful of upscale restaurants and cafes. Sunsets from the villa’s multilevel terraces are memorable given the home’s westward orientation on the Aleomandra peninsula.
Immediately out to sea is the the sacred island of Delos, with visitable ruins and a historic site museum. Mykonos is known, of course, for its glittering nightlife, social beaches, boutique shopping and fine dining. Athletic offerings range from golf, tennis and fishing to hiking, cycling and horseback riding, with water sports opportunities—scuba diving, sailing, kayaking—also abundant and guiding services plentiful on the island. Nearby Ornos Bay offers a traditional Greek village look with its narrow alleys and intimate beach area, and the Ornos village offers great dining options, boat and water sports rentals and guiding services as well.
