The ground-floor living space includes a comfy sitting room and a compact but fully equipped modern kitchen. There is one double bedroom with a bathroom on this floor that has a private terrace. On the first floor, there is the main bedroom with en suite bathroom and access to the balcony terrace with idyllic views. Agia Anna

Naxos is one of the largest and most diverse islands in the Cyclades chain. Dating back to the Neothilic period, there are thousands of years of history evident throughout the island. Located in the charming beach town of Agia Anna, it's a fun, family-friendly strip of beautiful and calm turquoise waters with lots of beach clubs, cafes, and a few hotels with a lively promenade that stretches the length of the beach and beyond to the quieter northern end and Agios Prokopios Beach.
The inland villages like Chalki famous for their delicious citrus liquor, Kitron, are a good way to get a taste of local culture. Filoti and the marble village of Aphyrantos are worth a stop with spectacular views of the mountains.

It's a ten-minute drive further to the port of Naxos where you're greeted at the central old town and capital city of Chora by the ancient Portara and the Venetian castle. The town's narrow streets are chock full of excellent cafes, boutiques, and galleries, and a variety of bars and restaurants, with an easily walkable center and boulevard.

Strategically positioned next to Saint George Beach, nearby Orkos also features some of the best beaches including Parthena and Mikri Vigla (both famous for wind and kitesurfing) and the famed Plaka.

Location

Naxos, Greece. Nearest airport: Naxos Island National Aiport (4km), a half-hour flight from Athens International Airport. The island can be easily reached by ferry from Athens, Mykonos and Santorini. Naxos has as well a very good ferry connection between the other Cycladic islands.

Best time to visit

High season is busier with tourists but the cooler off-season can be a refreshing alternative.
