A small community in Quebec’s Laurentian mountains, La Conception is a favorite escape for nature lovers, located easy driving distance from Ottawa, Montréal and a bit further from Toronto and Quebec City. All about the outdoors, the region boasts mountains with ski, hike and bike trails, lakes and rivers for swimming, boating, fishing and floating, and a rich diversity of wildlife, from small forest creatures to bigger beasts such as moose, bear, and lynx. Mont Tremblant is both a ski station and a National Park, the latter covering over 1,500 kilometers of forest, rivers, and peaks, visited by outdoorsy types seeking cross-country skiing, via ferrata thrills, canoeing and kayaking, and even beach combing at La Crémaillère or Lac-Provost.

La Conception’s local peak, Montagne d’Argent, is lined with trails for all skill levels, and the mirror-like Lac des Trois Montagnes offers in town swimming, boating, fishing and picnicking. Mont Tremblant Ski Resort is a year-round destination, with panoramic gondola rides, zipline tours, and summer skiing on dry slopes on offer in warmer months, falconing, and winter skiing on over 100 trails at two ski mountains, Mont Tremblant and Mont Blanc.
