An Industrial Milanese Loft Gets a Vibrant Makeover
Bringing the warmth, color and lush Bohemian vibe of Bahia to Italy’s northernmost city, this vacation home rental in Milan is a private oasis tucked away within the heart of town. We love the expressive and very personal art and design details and the walls of glass that open out to the peaceful urban gardens.
Located in the vibrant and authentic Paolo Sarpi district, this vacation home rental in Milan is situated within a culturally diverse neighborhood in Chinatown with some of the best bistros, clubs and shops and a large concentration of artisans. A former industrial region, the neighborhood is home to many revitalized factories that have been transformed into chic urban living spaces. Entering from the street, this former factory space is a private haven of chic urban living with traditional Bahian style.
The second home of a couple from the fashion industry, the interiors are inspired by their home in Trancoso. The two-story structure has been designed to be both expansive and intimate, with lofty ceilings and creatively divided spaces.
There are two units within this space, with separate entrances. You can rent them both together as Bahia Loft, or inquire for each separately.
Bossa Nova features a large living room flooded with natural light from floor-to-ceiling walls of glass that open out to a peaceful courtyard garden. It has a fully equipped, industrial-style kitchen that opens out to its own terrace, and upstairs there's an en-suite bedroom that sleeps two guests.
The Mini Loft Penelope space sleeps up to four guests. It consists of an entrance hall with bathroom and shower, a loft bedroom with two single beds, plus a living room with a double sofa bed. There is also a small outdoor terrace. It does not have its own kitchen.
Around
As Italy’s fashion and design capital, Milan pulses with creative energy, art and culture. More industrialized and businesslike than many of the country’s famous cities, it’s the financial and commercial hub of the north and hosts the world’s most iconic fashion week, design week and World EXPO.
Be sure to check out the bustling tourist center of Corso Como for some world-class shopping, Chinatown, the artsy neighborhood of Brera and the indie spirited Isola district. Although much of it was flattened during WW2, many treasures remain and of course no trip would be complete without a visit to the world famous La Scala opera and the Santa Maria delle Grazie convent, home to Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.” You can reach the famed lake Como in under an hour drive.
