Located on over fifteen acres of olive groves and wild countryside in the Salento Peninsula at the southern tip of Italy's boot, this striking estate is a unique reinterpretation of classic ancient architecture. Newly built, it beautifully balances traditional medieval and Moorish influences and aesthetics with 21st-century luxury.
Constructed entirely of locally sourced Pietra Leccese limestone and marble using age-old techniques, the cloistered colonnades, and gracefully vaulted ceilings are romantic and elegant.
The large entrance gates open into a lovely interior courtyard with a central fountain that leads into the main living area with a large central fireplace and glass doors on both sides that open out to amazing views of the property. With an eclectic and exotic mix of European antiques, Middle Eastern decor, and hand-crafted contemporary furnishings, the interiors are eye catching and sophisticated.
The house features two self contained sleeping wings with two bedrooms each plus one full bedroom off of the dining area with a private terrace and sleeps a total of ten. The large en suite master bedroom wing features a dressing room with daybeds and a magnificent free standing copper bath and a private terrace entrance.
The fully equipped gourmet kitchen seats up to ten comfortably inside or up to fourteen poolside under the shaded pergola complete with Burmese teak loungers and dining areas. An additional outdoor kitchen with wood burning pizza oven and BBQ is ideal for entertaining and the roof terrace offers breathtaking 360 degree views of the countryside and the Ionian Sea in the distance.

THE SALENTO PENINSULA
Located at the southernmost part of Italy's heel, known as the Salento Peninsula, the estate is within a short drive from a number of authentic and charming Italian villages, the closest of which is Carpignano Salentino.
The stunning baroque city of Lecce, known as the Florence of the South, lies 25 minutes to the North and the lovely UNESCO port town of Otranto is 15 minutes to the South.
The Adriatic coast is within ten minutes with some of the best beaches including Torre Del Orso Santa Andrea and Alimini as well as those of the Ionian coast. Further south is the luxurious seaside resorts of Leuca and Santa Cesarea Terme.
