Designed for Slow Sardinian Living
Set within the hamlet of Luxi Bia, in southern Sardinia’s wild and underexplored Sulcis region, this two-bedroom home is a testament to craftsmanship, rural design, and life lived close to the land. The hamlet was brought back to life by Pretziada Studio, a creative practice dedicated to promoting the heritage of the island through diverse projects.
The house faces south, bringing golden light into its interiors throughout the day, while its private rear courtyard remains cool and shaded—anchored by ancient olive trees and designed for long lunches and late summer evenings.
At once simple and refined, Casa Corte balances Sardinian vernacular with contemporary restraint. Locally fired terracotta tiles, original juniper beams, and lime-plastered walls reflect the home’s heritage, while custom furnishings, curated antiques, and pieces from Pretziada’s design collection make the space feel personal and alive.
Casa Corte is part of Luxi Bia, a long-term restoration project led by Kyre & Ivano of Pretziada Studio. What began as an abandoned rural village is now an ongoing experiment in contemporary ruralism—one that honors Sardinian architecture, landscape, and material culture while opening it up to new forms of living and creativity. All structures are built or restored using natural, locally sourced materials, powered by solar energy and sustained with well water. A small, rotating selection of organic products from local makers—wine, olive oil, preserves—is available for purchase during your stay.
Casa Corte sleeps four guests, but is not designed for small children.
